Being a Professional in the Creative Field

What is being a professional in the creative field? How does being one fit in the working world? Should we encourage the youth to be considering such careers, amongst all obstacles? Can creative people have a real impact in the society and should they be considered part of the solution versus being seen as "out of the norm"? These are the questions I had to ask myself when I decided, fairly young, that it was the only professional field that I could have a future in, and my hopes are:

- Sharing my experience with others to show that if you believe and put the right work into your passion, you can make a living out of it and be rewarded from taking risks and meeting your true ambitions;

- As well as encouraging some people to make the jump or at least to hear from someone that there is no wrong path as long as you give it your whole.

About Pascal Pernix

Pascal was born and raised in the south of France, surrounded by books, cameras and music, and from early on took the natural path to make photography and graphics his passion and career. After working several years as a freelance photographer in France, including some international gigs, life brought him to the Cayman Islands where he has been the Creative Manager for the largest and fastest growing real estate developer on island for over 5 years, from 2008-2013. He is Pcreative's award-winning Art Director and offers his expertise and over 10 years of solid experience in the creative field to companies and organizations of all sizes, as well as individuals, in the Cayman Islands, the Caribbean, and overseas. His creative skill range is wide enough to cover the various needs: advertising campaigns, video production, photo shoots for magazines, and corporate and business branding.
